The following is a listing of present radio amateur ham nets currently operating in the greater New York area and beyond, with names and call letters of CBS retirees and other broadcast employees and interested parties that check in on a fairly regular basis.
[Note: The Broadcast Center Amateur Radio Society or BCARS (a CBS Employees/Retirees Radio Club) operates a 70 cm repeater NY2TV/R in midtown Manhattan on 445.075 (out) 440.075 (input) "PL" is 114.8. Control operator (trustee) is K2TV (Bob Myers). The repeater is often used by CBS employees on their way to & from work at the Broadcast Center and by CBS retirees. The repeater is now operational during night time hours. NY2TV also has HF and 2 meter capabilty, so if you hear the NY2TV call sign you can be sure that a BCARS member is operating the station.
Repeater is K2JQB/R operated by WFMRA...146.31 mhz (input) /146.91 mhz (output)...The "PL" is 114.8, usually the PL is disabled while the CBS Retirees Net is in progress.
