This was part of the Harbor Festival in NY in 1984. 
There was a life boat race in the Hudson River in one of the slips where the cruise ships dock. 
Well, these lovely young women gladly represented WCBS.   I only remember that the ladies from the mayor's office "Koch's Krew" came in dead last....and we didn't win.  What place we fell in between...lord only knows. 
As you can tell by the jazzy outfits...this was long before any of "the brothers" were in the swag business making shirts.
